Overview
Enterprise Wide Maps are used by Executive I/T teams to gain a 75,000
foot view of all critical information systems throughout a health system.
This visual method of documentation provides your I/T leadership with
a "snapshot" view of all key systems and major data flows. Drill downs
focus on specific areas, such as registration and scheduling, to provide
comprehensive documentation.
Process
After initial meeting with executives, a member of the Huron staff
will meet in groups or one-on-one with key employees to document current
systems relationships and functions. Follow-up meetings are conducted
over the phone or via remote computing capabilities as process maps
are prepared for presentation.
Deliverables
Your organization will be provided with:
High level maps (75,000 feet) of critical systems throughout your health
system
Drill Down maps (35,000 feet) of specific system/function areas (e.g.
facility charge capture systems)
- Presentations to I/T Executive committee, directors, and
managers
- Training sessions at all levels for in-house maintenance
These maps are constructed in a logical, easy-to-understand format, and
are Board presentation quality.
